TestimonialsMiracles Happen"I was delivered to Texas NeuroRehab Center by ambulance after a very long and on-going illness. I was unable to lift my head or arms let alone walk. My long muscles were goine and my finer muscles were deteriorationg rapidly. I was afraid I was bound for a nursing home or acute care facility. The concept of going home seemed incomprehensible. To say I was scared is an understatement. When Dr. Chip Whisenant met me on my first day and told me we start working on getting you ready for discharge starting right now I thought he was speaking the impossible. Well, last week I WALKED out of Texas NeuroRehab under my own power and came home. I feel better than I have in 5 or more years and I am very much looking forward to my future prospects. There were so many people who touched my life and my heart while I was there; people who I owe a level of gratitude and thanks that words cannot express. Every person I encountered at TNC was a consummate professional that clearly loved what they were doing. Miracles happen, I'm proof of that." -A.G. Sincere Thanks"I just wish to express my sincere thanks to all the staff involved in the care of my father. I certainly feel he was in the best possible place to have him the best chance for recovery. Dr. Boysen and his staff went above and beyond to ensure the best for my dad." -Shelia W. Gratitude"A big thank you to all of you for the wonderful care you gave. Your hard work and patience really made a big difference. He is called a "Miracle" and you all were part of it. Our son completed physical therapy in April, and was able to 'dance the night away' at prom in May. He is moving forward and getting on with his life, and in his word's... "a regular teenager." Words simply cannot express our gratitude for all you did for him and our family." - Lori & Gary Positive Change"We will never forget this entire experience and the individuals who eased our minds, we knew he was safe, a level of trust was established immediately. UT Charter far exceeded our expectations based on our experiences with our district. It was surprising to find teachers and management staff who worked together so closely to ensure all educational needs of a child, with a disability or mental illness, are met. The teachers were knowledgeable, eager to provide information, and good listeners. The transitions throughout the day between teachers was pure genius! The support staff maintained continuity, seamlessly followed the teacher's lead but at the same time had the expertise to take independent initiative. We are eternally grateful for the tireless effort that has been invested. You have forever changed the path of a child who has been misunderstood. The positive changes in his life during this educational journey will impact our family for years to come. Thank you is not enough, but thank you, thank you, thank you". - Stephanie Thank You"I want to thank everyone there that helped me with my recovery.
I was diagnosed with TBI and partial paralysis. I was a patient
there back in March for about 2 months. I was told I would never
walk again, or do what I use to do and would be there for at least
6 months. Exceptional"The staff here was exceptional both in the level of care
offered and the patience and empathy given. The PT staff were
great and the OT staff members 'sunshine' attitude is contagious.
The nurses were wonderful, so kind and gentle even with the
most trying of patients. Trust"My family and I are extremely pleased with all the care, compassion, pushing, and on and on that it took your staff to help me return. Your doctors watched everything so closely that I got over my fears of just about everything when I first arrived. Patience, knowledge, and time the doctors spent taking care of me, broke down those fears, 1 at a time until a new found trust was established. I found out what it meant to put your life in the hands of others and let them do their job." -Dianna Deluxe Version"You have made a huge difference in our family's life. We have so much to be grateful for. Our son stayed with you for three months. He was a victim of a violent crime where he was hit in the head multiple times with a metal pipe. You got him to start swallowing, start eating, siting up, standing up, walking, got his voice started, along with giving us hope along the way. I always beleived he would get better and with your support and gifts of love, you helped make this possible. He has come so farand I believe he will continue to make progress. His voice has gotten so much stronger, he has gotten back on the drums, and continues to do better with practice. He is now working cleaning parks and helps me at our pet boarding kennel. He bought a '69 Mustang and is working on getting it street ready so that he has a car to drive when he takes his DPS test. We have a new deluxe version of our son. He is happy, healthy and never lost his great sense of humor. He used to be shy and doesn't have a shy bone in his body now. He makes friends wherever he goes. He is very thankful for his life and all you have done for him. Thank you all so very much." -Carol
