The Ranch Achievement Program provides intensive psychiatric day treatment for children and adolescents, ages 8-17. It is designed to evaluate and treat psychiatric and behavioral symptoms that are too severe to be managed in outpatient therapy alone, but do not require a 24-hour controlled environment. The program is a treatment option that may prevent hospitalization and serves as transition from inpatient care. Youth who may benefit from the program might be struggling with any of the following:
Levels of CarePartial Hospitalization Program (PHP)▪ Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)▪ Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm Group TherapiesGroup therapy sessions assist each individual in emotional growth and personal problem solving. Process Group: traditional strengths based and insight orientated psychotherapy Expressive Arts: use of physical activity or the arts as a way of learning skills or expressing emotions in a healthy way Skills Groups: provides the knowledge on applying skills in a practical way in order to be successful e.g. DBT skills, Relaxation Groups and Substance Refusal Wellness Education: addresses personal wellness and provides the necessary tools to take responsibility for personal growth and development Psychoeducational: reinforces personal strengths, resources and coping skills, in order to better understand an illness and contribute to health and wellness on a long-term basis Additional servicesprovided by both PHP & IOP ▪ Daily Written Behavioral Reports ▪ Substance Abuse Evaluation, Education and Prevention ▪ Clinical Case Management with Comprehensive Discharge Planning ▪ ROPES Course (Reality-Oriented Physical Experiential Services) ▪ Off Campus Therapeutic Outings
